PURPOSE
More than producing , Genesis Agro believes in generating value
We adopt a long-term vision based on innovation, governance, and social and environmental responsibility. We work to transform territories with high production potential into hubs of sustainable development, promoting regenerative practices and efficient solutions for the agriculture of the future.
This look to the future, however, does not ignore the past. We value the tradition of Brazilian agribusiness and recognize the culture of local communities as a fundamental part of our journey. Because looking ahead also requires respect for those who paved the way to this point.
Genesis Agro was founded with a clear vision: to transform the agricultural potential of south-central Maranhão into sustainable value. With the acquisition of over 50,000 hectares in the Grajaú region, the foundation for this journey was officially established.
We began preparing the first production areas and implementing and testing the suitability of agricultural and livestock activities. This was a period of technical structuring and validation of the business model, focusing on productivity and respect for the territory.
With the inauguration of the Storage Unit and the Research, Development, and Innovation Center (CPD&I), Genesis significantly increased its operational capacity and that of the region. These investments marked the beginning of a business focused on technology, science, and sustainability.
The internal structure was strengthened, and agricultural practices evolved with the adoption of more efficient production systems, such as direct planting and regenerative soil management. We also began producing hay and silage and developing our own strategic intelligence tools.
We expanded our consolidated area to 100,000 hectares and modernized management systems with technologies such as operational control systems and platforms for data generation, contributing to decision-making. Logistics efficiency was also enhanced with the construction of our own airfield and support for the construction and maintenance of municipal roads in the region.
We made progress in environmental responsibility with the delivery of the first EIA-RIMA project, promoting sustainable development as the basis of our operations.
This year was marked by the first Genesis Agro Auction and the formal adoption of the ILP (Crop-Livestock Integration) system. In addition to improving operational practices, the company also continued to enhance its corporate governance management through the establishment of committees.
Consolidating our pursuit of sustainable growth, we inaugurated the company's first solar plant, aiming to generate renewable energy. We also began implementing best ESG practices with the support of specialized consulting, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability.
We took an important step toward the future: we conducted the first soil carbon sequestration experiment using a validated methodology and began the widespread implementation of regenerative agriculture practices in our production areas.
